Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)
The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme Regulations 2014 (ESOS Regulations) came into force in 2014 and Phase One of the scheme required all qualifying organisations to notify compliance by 5th December 2015. Phase Two of the scheme is now live and requires all qualifying organisations to notify compliance by 5th December 2019.
All organisations meeting the qualification threshold are legally required to participate. The threshold is 250 or more employees or if you have fewer employees then the threshold is turnover in excess of £44,845,000 and balance sheet total assets in excess of £38,566,700. This is for the organisation's financial year that includes the qualification date of 31st December 2018.
We have extensive experience of collecting the data and preparing ESOS Audit Reports on behalf of clients. Our Lead Assessor, Martyn Green, is Elmhurst Energy Systems qualified and is on their register with the Environment Agency. We also have experience of successfully supporting and guiding clients through Environment Agency Audits.
